Embracing my natural hair really boosted my confidence and I want to share that feeling with everyone who sits in my chair. I was born with a head full of curls and had a full fro by the time I was one year old. Growing up I spent many Sunday afternoons crying while having my hair detangled. Because of that experience I’ve developed a gentle touch with hair and often have guests fall asleep in my chair. 

I found my passion for curls through lots of trial and error learning about products and styling techniques from YouTube. This is where I eventually learned about curly cuts and that proved to be a huge game changer. After finishing college and not really enjoying the work I was pursuing I realized I really wanted to focus on hair. 

I spent about two years in the industry on a variety of textures before starting at Ambushed and am so glad to call this my salon home! Getting to focus on the specialty that brought me to this industry brings so much meaning and enjoyment to my work. I can’t wait to see you in my chair so we can find a look that feels true to you!
